Reporting to the Process Factory Manager, you will be a key member of the factory management team with full accountability for operational KPI performance, customer service, Health & Safety and quality standards across the Process area. You will lead and develop Team Leaders, Operators and the Support Engineering Process Team, ensuring operational excellence from material intake, through processing, to delivery to the filler.
Key Responsibilities- Own all aspects of Process operations and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Process Factory Manager, Production Manager, Shift Managers, Process Quality, CI and Engineering managers, and the Waste Analysis team to develop aligned goals and objectives.
- Maintain full accountability for labour and material budgets.
- Optimise yield and Right First Time performance through regular review and structured action plans.
- Provide regular SQDCP KPI reporting, ensuring data is accurate, meaningful and drives value‑adding actions.
- Ensure SOPs are current, fit for purpose and fully trained out.
- Maintain audit readiness through full compliance with the site QMS.
- Ensure staffing levels and skills are fit for purpose across varying product mixes.
- Drive waste reduction and RFT through clear team and individual objectives.
- Inspire, motivate and develop your team through effective communication and visible leadership.
- Embed and sustain a continuous improvement culture across the Process area.
- Lead Health & Safety by example, ensuring standards are adhered to at all times without exception.
- Manage and contribute to site projects as required.
- Define competency levels, develop training programmes and build robust succession plans.
- Conduct annual appraisals, mid‑year reviews and regular one‑to‑ones with clear development plans.
- Support the delivery of the site engagement (GPTW) programme.
- Provide cover for the Cartons/Bottles Process Manager and ensure succession plans are in place.
- Degree‑level education (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing in a supervisory or management role (essential).
- Strong people leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams (essential).
- Good knowledge of food industry quality systems and standards (essential).
- A proven track record of delivering targets and improving performance.
- Excellent communication, analytical and IT skills.
- The ability to remain calm, structured and effective in a fast‑paced production environment.
