We’re offering a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship, specialising in Mechanical Engineering, based at our Hinkley Point A site in Somerset – where you’ll gain nationally recognised qualifications, hands‑on experience, and expert support, all while earning a salary.

This Government‑approved Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship provides in‑depth training in Mechanical Engineering – a core discipline in nuclear decommissioning focused on maintaining, assembling, and repairing complex mechanical systems. The programme includes:

• Block release study at Bridgwater & Taunton College
• Four days per week of on‑the‑job learning at the NRS Hinkley Point A site
• Training in a safety‑critical nuclear environment
• Mentorship from experienced nuclear engineers and technical staff

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn and grow in a challenging but rewarding environment.

• Be 18 or older by 4 August 2026
• Have 5 GCSEs (grades 9–4 / A–C)
  * including Maths, English, and Science
• OR have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship
