Job Mission

This hybrid role supports mechanical engineering delivery on a high‑profile nuclear infrastructure programme. You’ll help ensure engineering standards are met and construction activities stay on track, and you’ll develop your expertise in a critical project environment. Part of your time will be spent on‑site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater; you must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining construction workpacks and documentation
  • Coordinate with subject experts to define technical scopes
  • Support surveys, inspections, and access planning for site works
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety and engineering standards
  • Track and prioritise documentation to support ongoing construction
  • Contribute to permit and work authorisation processes
  • Liaise with wider teams across mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems
  • Champion good practice in health, safety and environmental performance
Essential Qualifications
  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Exposure to construction or installation projects in regulated environments
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Desired Skills
  • CCNSG Safety Passport plus IOSH or NEBOSH certificate
  • Experience with mechanical workpacks or construction readiness
  • Familiarity with large infrastructure or energy projects
  • Knowledge of permit systems or work authorisation procedures
  • Hands‑on involvement in site surveys or field engineering tasks
