Site Agent – Highways Somerset | Major £7.5m Project Package Morson Edge is recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor delivering a significant highways improvement scheme in Somerset. We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead and manage a £7.5 million highways package , ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery. This opportunity is ideal for an established Agent with strong leadership skills and extensive experience across highway works, capable of taking ownership of a scheme and driving it through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities Lead all site operations and direct the day-to-day running of the works. Champion Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensuring full compliance. Manage programme delivery and ensure milestones are met. Engage weekly with the Project Manager, Planner and Quantity Surveyor on progress, forecasting, and cost to complete. Produce and present weekly and monthly progress reports. Attend and chair meetings with the client, maintaining strong communication and proactive issue-resolution.

Motivate and guide the site team, setting high professional standards. Address site challenges swiftly and maintain a solution-driven approach. What We're Looking For Proven background as a Site Agent within highways construction. Specific experience in highways is essential Strong understanding of HSE, programme management, and site leadership. Ability to take full ownership of a scheme and lead teams effectively. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
