Employment Type: Full Time

Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 per annum + benefits & package

We are a market‑leading subcontractor in Bridgwater looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or a strong Project Quantity Surveyor ready to step up to lead the commercial function on a huge civils package.

• Lead all commercial activities on site from pre‑contract through to final account.
• Oversee procurement of subcontract packages, negotiate terms and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Monitor and report on project budgets, forecasts and profitability.
• Prepare and submit accurate interim valuations, CVRs and cost reports.
• Manage change control, variations and early warnings in accordance with NEC/JCT contracts.
• Attend site meetings with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior surveyors (if applicable).
• Ensure all commercial processes are followed and contractual obligations met.

• Degree‑qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a main or specialist contractor environment.
• Proven track record on cut & carve / structural alteration / RC frame / soft strip projects.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a client‑facing, project leadership capacity.
