Due to the opening of our brand new Diagnostic unit, we have some exciting opportunities;
As well as the new Diagnostic Unit, you will become part of our central reception team to provide support to the Main Hospital Reception, Urgent Treatment Centre Reception and Outpatients Reception on a rotational basi;
You will act as an ambassador for the service and will be the first point of contact for all visitors and telephone callers
You will provide a comprehensive reception and administration services to include telephone duties, message taking, the use of a number of IT systems, data input and scanning;
To always ensure effective communication and courtesy, supporting the multi professional team members and generally assisting in the co ordination of the smooth running of the reception area;
The hours will be worked over a shift pattern between up to 7 days per week;
This is a Band 2 entry level position with progression to Band 3 on completion of a robust training programme

- Educated to GCSE level 4 or equivalent
- Customers Service/Business & Admin Level 2 or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of clinical IT systems
- Previous administration experience
- Previous experience of working face to face with the public
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels
- Abilitiy to prioritise workload and reprioritise when necessary
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Ability to keep calm under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- Experience of working in a confidential environment
- Team player
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the service in both hours and tasks
- Acts in a way that supports equality and diversity
- Car driver with valid driving license
