Risdons Solicitors are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our team in Bridgwater.
The successful candidate will provide both clerical and administrative support to the fee earners in the conveyancing team.
Responsibilities- Provide secretarial support, including typing, word processing, and managing telephone calls and diary appointments.
- Open and close client files.
- Draft, process and proofread legal documents, such as contracts, searches, and correspondence related to property sales, purchases, leases, and mortgages.
- Communicate with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties to gather information, provide updates, and respond to queries.
- Assist with or conduct legal procedures, such as ordering property searches with local authorities and dealing with the Land Registry.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with professional standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and SRA regulations.
- Maintain high standards of client care and build long-lasting client relationships.
- A team player with a positive and service orientated attitude.
- A basic understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with all parties involved.
- A thorough understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion.
- Experience with case management systems and other relevant software.
- Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- A team player with a positive and service orientated attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
