Registered Nurse – Part‑time, Day Shift

Massachusetts Treatment Center (MTC), Bridgewater, MA

Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality patient care in a correctional health setting. The role includes medication administration, patient monitoring, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide safe, effective nursing care consistent with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act. You will supervise and delegate nursing activities to staff within your scope of practice, advocate for patients, and promote best practices in the department.

• Maintain accurate, detailed patient reports and records.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ condition.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions.
• Oversee diet, physical activity, and other aspects of patient care.
• Direct or supervise less‑skilled nursing or healthcare personnel, or supervise a specific unit.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Educate individuals, families, or groups on health topics and disease prevention.
• Prepare rooms, instruments, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.

Hourly Wage: $50–$55

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program or hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Valid knowledge of local practice acts and regulations.
