Red's client is looking for a deployment lead experienced at managing several parallel enterprise level application deployments.
Deployment Planning & Governance:
Ensuring deployment strategies, schedules, environments, testing, backups, rollback plans, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) approvals are in place before release. This phase emphasizes risk mitigation and alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:
Proactive communication with business users, IT support, operations, and vendors to set expectations around timing, impact, and support. Readiness meetings and checklists are used to confirm resource availability and alignment.
Deployment Execution & Issue Management:
Structured execution using runbooks, war rooms, and monitoring to validate system health, manage incidents quickly, and make informed go/no-go or rollback decisions.
Post-Deployment Stabilization (Hypercare):
Defined hypercare periods ensure system stability, business sign-off, effective incident triage, and a controlled transition to steady-state operations and support teams.
Documentation, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement:
Capture of deployment outcomes, lessons learned, and process improvements through release notes, version records, and post-implementation reviews.
