This client-facing leadership role is responsible for managing and advancing reporting needs for assigned clients and internal stakeholders. The Senior Analyst will design and optimize reporting tools and dashboards to enhance productivity, measure the impact of sales force activities, and evaluate promotional effectiveness. As a subject matter expert, they will provide strategic guidance, ensure data integrity, and drive innovation in reporting solutions.
They will be responsible to directly supervise a team of analysts, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and operational excellence.
- Supervise and manage a team of analysts, including workload prioritization, performance reviews, and day‑to‑day coaching.
- Serve as the reporting lead for services from pre‑implementation to project completion, including defining KPIs, managing timelines, resource allocation, quality control, and insight generation.
- Partner with Sales Management, Brand Teams, and Clients to establish, monitor, and review performance metrics and reporting solutions.
- Drive and support the development and enhancement of reports and dashboards.
- Lead the design of new reporting initiatives and recommend innovative approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide strategic and tactical direction for analytics projects and perform quality control on all deliverables, including standard, recurring, and ad‑hoc reports.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including business rules, report inventory, and scope changes.
- Proactively analyze trends, performance drivers, and efficiencies, providing strategic recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Develop and deliver training for field teams, managers, and clients on reporting tools and best practices.
- Prepare and communicate detailed process workflow charts that describe inputs, execution steps, and outputs.
- Correlate activities to results and provide actionable insights to achieve brand objectives.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of Pharmaceutical Industry and Technical Experience
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Advanced working knowledge of CRM systems, including and Veeva
- Expertise with visual analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and pharma data sets
- Proficiency with multiple reporting tools and data sets, including Microsoft SQL, MS Excel, and MS Access
- Knowledge of deploying technology to improve efficiencies and effectiveness, including business intelligence tools
- Experience supervising or mentoring analysts in reporting and analytics projects
- Ability to lead projects and interact with all levels of management in various functional areas
- Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, manage customer expectations, and execute timely deliverables
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of sales and marketing functions with the ability to anticipate needs and respond to ad‑hoc requests quickly and appropriately
- Strong statistical knowledge, training, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and Excel
- Experience with automation and predictive analytics
- Master’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $69,600 to $82,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
