Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will function as the most senior finance leader at The HRT Club and will own the finance function end-to-end. This role allows for hands‑on execution and direct accountability for financial strategy, controls, and operational rigor.

This is an ideal role for a seasoned finance leader who wants to build, shape, and scale a modern finance organization.

• Own the company’s financial strategy, long‑range planning, and forecasting
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic decision‑making, capital allocation, and growth initiatives
• Provide clear, decision‑useful financial insights across the organization
• Serve as a key financial partner to the Board and investors

• Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, close processes, and revenue recognition
• Ensure GAAP‑compliant financial reporting and strong internal controls
• Maintain audit readiness and oversee external audits, tax filings, and valuations
• Partner closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure financial practices align with regulatory and governance requirements

• Own annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
• Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and unit economics (including CAC, LTV, gross margin, and burn)
• Maintain clear visibility into cash flow, runway, and financial risk
• Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support equity and debt fundraising efforts, including investor materials and diligence
• Oversee cap table management, equity plans, and 409A valuations
• Prepare Board and investor financial reporting packages

Ensure financial transparency and credibility with external stakeholders

• Partner with Product, Medical, and Operations teams on pricing, cost structure, and margin optimization
• Support vendor economics, contract review, and intercompany arrangements
• Design scalable financial processes that support growth without unnecessary complexity

• Build and manage a lean, high‑performing finance team and external partners
• Select, implement, and optimize financial systems and tools
• Establish clear documentation, controls, and operating rhythms

• Accurate, timely, and trusted financial reporting
• Clear visibility into unit economics, cash flow, and runway
• Strong internal controls and audit‑ready processes
• A finance function that enables confident decision‑making and investor trust
• Scalable infrastructure ready for the next phase of growth

• Experience, 8–12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
• Senior leadership experience (Head of Finance, VP Finance, or similar), ideally in healthcare, digital health, life sciences, or regulated industries
• Experience supporting venture‑backed or growth‑stage companies
• Direct experience with fundraising, board reporting, and investor relations

• Strategic, detail‑oriented, and execution‑focused
• Comfortable building systems and processes from scratch
• Strong judgment in complex, regulated environments
• Clear communicator with executive presence
• Collaborative, pragmatic business partner

• Healthcare, pharma, or health‑tech experience
• Familiarity with subscription, membership, or platform‑based revenue models
• Experience managing intercompany transactions and parent–subsidiary structures
