This role is an EIT‑Certified position focused on traffic engineering projects across Massachusetts, including analysis, design, and field data collection.
Base Pay Range$76,000.00 – $92,000.00 per year

What You Will DoAssist senior staff on a variety of traffic engineering projects, including traffic and safety analysis, development of conceptual and final design plans, pavement marking, signage, signal plans, technical specifications, estimates, feasibility reports, field data collection, and proposal and presentation assistance. Work closely with other civil engineering disciplines on multi‑disciplinary projects.
Desired Skills and Experience- Bachelor’s Degree – Civil Engineering
- Relevant internship or 1‑4 years of progressive responsibility in Traffic Engineering; recent grads considered.
- EIT preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD and Synchro preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, HCS, and Vissim a plus
- Familiarity with MUTCD, HCM, HSM, and AASHTO a plus
- Experience with MassDOT standards and deliverables a plus
- Ability to work in team environment as an individual contributor
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently across multiple projects and deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze, and resolve issues

Salary range: $76,000 – $92,000
The salary range displayed is a good‑faith estimate of the base pay for this position. The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and market conditions. The salary range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses or benefits, which may be part of the total compensation package.
