Department SummaryThe Center for Student Engagement was established to plan, implement, support, and cultivate opportunities, programs and experiences for Bridgewater State University students from pre‑enrollment through commencement and transition to an active alumni status. Successful candidates will be staff members that can work collaboratively with their colleagues in CSE and across the university to meet the mission of the department in serving and supporting our racially and ethnically diverse campus community.

- Facilitating the university’s orientation and new student transition programs both prior to their enrollment and through their first semester at BSU.
- Campus‑wide program development, and advising roles, the department will offer students the chance to develop leadership skills and experience interpersonal interaction that will enhance their personal and academic lives.
- Providing guidance to BSU’s 80+ student organizations, supports the planning and implementation of over 400 events per academic year (including 70+ planned by Program Council).
- Overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the Rondileau Student Union, creating a welcoming environment for all members of the BSU community.
- Building connections with families and supporters of students to ensure each student receives support in as many ways as possible.
The Student Communications and Digital Platform Manager advances the mission of the Center for Student Engagement by managing a cohesive, data‑informed strategy to communicate opportunities for student involvement, promote a sense of belonging, and amplify the student voice. This position provides day‑to‑day management and administration for Engage
BSU (Campus Groups), supporting campus partners in leveraging the platform to enhance student engagement and departmental initiatives. The Student Communications and Digital Platform Manager develops and implements comprehensive student communication strategies, oversees the marketing team, and ensures that all digital content and communications reflect the university’s commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and institutional standards. The role collaborates with campus partners, facilitates training and support, utilizes assessment data to inform strategy, and highlights the impact of CSE programs and services, especially for historically underrepresented students.

May assist in supervising student employees and/or interns within the department.
Position Type: APA Professional. Tour of Duty:
Monday – Friday, 8:30–5:00 (Saturday and Sunday days off). This position is located on campus in Bridgewater, MA. This position may be eligible for hybrid work after the initial 90 days, in accordance with BSU’s remote work policy. Full‑time, temporary APA position; temporary employment end date 12/31/2026.
- Develop and implement annual communication plans to promote student engagement programs and events across digital and physical platforms, ensuring messages are inclusive, consistent, and aligned with university branding and accessibility standards.
- Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns for specific student populations (first‑year, commuter, BIPOC, transfer, and under‑engaged students) to foster belonging and increase awareness of opportunities.
