About Clear Results

Clear Results is a growing coaching and advisory firm focused exclusively on home service businesses.

We are currently a $1M+ coaching company, working with 20-25 home service clients, and we also operate a growing portfolio company in the electrical services space with operations in multiple markets.

We are a small, highly capable team, not a large corporate organization. This role will work closely with the Founder and Director of Operations and will have meaningful ownership, responsibility, and influence from day one.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building, taking ownership, and growing with a company -- not someone looking for a large, established corporate environment.

The Role

The Director of Financial Strategy and Client Performance is responsible for owning financial clarity for our clients.

This role goes far beyond reporting. You will translate financial data into insight, guidance, and decisions that help business owners improve margins, price with confidence, manage cash flow, and run their companies with less stress and more control.

Over time, you will lead client financial review calls, own dashboards and scorecards, and become a trusted financial partner to a portfolio of growing home service companies.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Client Financial Ownership

  • Own client financials end-to-end, from clean data to insight and recommendations
  • Analyze cost of goods sold and identify margin improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards that track the numbers that actually matter
  • Model pricing scenarios and clearly explain the impact on revenue, gross profit, and net income
  • Build and review budget vs actual reporting with clients
  • Support clients in understanding and managing cash flow, working capital, and growth pressure

Client Calls and Delivery

  • Observe and support financial review calls led by the Founder
  • Prepare financial insights and recommendations ahead of client meetings
  • Within 8-10 weeks, begin leading financial review portions of client calls
  • Timeline includes observing ~20-25 client engagements and multiple full financial review cycles
  • Over time, fully own financial review calls for assigned clients

Bookkeeping Oversight

  • Oversee bookkeeping quality and reporting accuracy
  • Coordinate with internal or external bookkeepers to ensure clean, consistent data
  • Set reporting standards that support insight, not just compliance

Systems and Scale

  • Build repeatable financial workflows, dashboards, and checklists
  • Improve how financial data is presented so it is clear and decision-focused
  • Contribute to internal financial playbooks and training as the company grows

  • Clients clearly understand their financial position and key profit drivers
  • Gross profit improves through better pricing and cost control
  • Clients consistently use dashboards and budget vs actual reporting
  • Fewer financial surprises and reactive decisions
  • Clients say financial reviews are valuable and actionable

Experience And Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial statements for service-based businesses
  • Experience analyzing cost of goods sold, pricing, and operating expenses
  • Comfortable leading financial conversations with business owners
  • Ability to build dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models
  • Experience overseeing bookkeeping functions is strongly preferred
  • Home service industry experience is a plus but not required

Compensation And Growth

  • Base salary: $85,000-$95,000 CAD
  • Bonus incentives:
