Quality Assurance Lead Inspector

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced (1st Shift) Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Bridgeview, IL.

• Ensure FAI, in process, and final inspections meet internal and external specs.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
• Document nonconformities and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Help prepare for and participate in audits-including calibration (internal, customer, third party).
• Lead daily inspection activities on the production floor; coordinate a team of inspectors.
• Help maintain inspection procedures, calibration procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
• Train and mentor QC and production to uphold quality standards and best practices.

• 3+ years in manufacturing quality inspection, preferably with a minimum of 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, height gauges, etc.).
• Working knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Hands‑on experience with First Article Inspection (FAI), non‑conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action (CAPA) processes.
• Industry‑specific experience (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).

• CMM (PC‑DMIS) programming / operating skills.
• Prior Lead experience.
