Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:45pm-2:30am |
Pay: $30/hr
We’re seeking a Quality Technician - Lead who brings initiative, independence, and deep attention to detail. This individual will lead CAPA investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring product integrity and compliance, from startup through production and shipping, while mentoring and guiding teams to maintain the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and own CAPA investigations, including initiating, documenting, and closing corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead routine and complex inspections at all stages of production (startup, changeovers, ongoing).
- Identify non‑conformances, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions to resolution.
- Maintain, calibrate, and document lab equipment in coordination with internal teams and third‑party services.
- Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for outgoing products.
- Manage retained sample systems and lab inventory, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Support product R&D testing and assist in implementing quality system documentation and improvements.
- Authorize the release of packaging work orders and verify product specs for finished goods.
- Practice continuous improvement using PDCA and Risk Management principles.
- Help maintain compliance with internal policies, safety procedures, and customer requirements.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in quality inspection or lab testing in a manufacturing or production environment, with demonstrated experience leading CAPA investigations and driving corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of measurements, weights, and tolerances.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8–12 hours.
- Familiarity with dimensional gauges and calibration standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
- SAP or similar ERP experience is a plus.
- Lab or R&D experience is a strong advantage.
