General Information
This position under the supervision of the Director provides supervision for Case Managers in preparing case histories and records parole and furlough planning, referrals, and other related administrative duties. This position may be assigned to oversee all program activities and supervise Counselors at the discretion of the Program Director.
Job RequirementsRequired knowledge, Abilities and
Experience:
- Provide leadership through the supervision of Case Managers in terms of direction, input, feedback, and role modeling
- Conduct performance reviews and taking disciplinary action
- Conduct program staff meetings in absence of (Director)
- Represent case management services in management meetings
- Assist with counselor/case managers’ duties when needed
- Participate in mandatory training and staff development sessions.
- Ensure that the duties of this position are performed in accordance with contract, ACA, licensure, and corporate standards.
- Required to perform all assigned ACA related duties
- Required to attend ACA and other assigned or mandatory training classes in accordance with Kintock training policies
- Prepare appropriate reports
- Conduct chart audits
- Review all case management reports, including Parole Summaries, Discharge Summaries, Progress Notes and Incident reports
- Training all new case management and case management coordinator staff members
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the Director
- At the direction, may perform the following ancillary meetings: discharge planning, case conference, staff meeting
- Schedule planned treatment activities, including individual and group sessions and maintain adherence to same
- Schedule program staff to cover group activities
- Prior Experience working with offenders
- Supervisory experience;
Relationships with community treatment facilities and other resources
Ability to follow course curriculum, facilitate groups and/or workshops.
- Manage a flexible work schedule
Good business communication skills (writing, verbal, and phone).
Qualifications/Skill RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in social sciences or a related field and two years’ experience supervising case work staff. Valid driver’s license required.
