Counselor – 10‑Month

A Step Ahead Partial Care Hospitalization Program (PHP) – Bridgeton

Population: Adolescents

Schedule: Monday – Friday/Days

Compensation: $20.00–$22.00 per hour plus full benefits

• Maintains a therapeutic and safe environment for all patients.
• Facilitates regular therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan.
• Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
• Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork.
• Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from the program.
• Maintains certification in Handle with Care behavior management system.
• All other duties as assigned.

• BA in Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
• MUST have a bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
• Experience with children in behavioral & mental health.
• Provides for the direct care and management of patient population of a partial care treatment center.
