Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Software Developer, Mids to remotely support our federal customer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team and take part in a multi-year initiative to modernize large-scale IT systems.

This role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and primary work location is remote.

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of work experience.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
• Proficient with Java Object‑Oriented Programming.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containers; automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
• Experience with Cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures; streaming (preferred).

• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Pub/Sub (Publish, Subscribe).
• Streaming experience is a plus.
• Experience with event sources.
• Experience running Git Ops (Git Lab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tecton, etc.) within version control tools.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control management is a plus.

• Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
• Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
• Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating‑systems‑level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
• Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
• Designs embedded systems software.
• Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.>

• Migrate all current-system functionality from the mainframes and operate within a cloud‑based environment (AWS Gov Cloud).
• Incorporate modern name search capabilities.
• Expand image handling to accept larger files and support additional file formats, such as PDF.
• Transition investigative search to Elasticsearch, providing a faster response and report creation time for law enforcement.
• Build new services to follow a microservices architecture and run within containers using the Open Shift platform.
• Transition database functionality from IBM DB2 to the appropriate cloud data store.
• Update NIEM schemas and IEPDs to allow agencies to use updated functionality and speed up the dot‑delimited message format retirement.
