AIRCRAFT PAINTER
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for
AIRCRAFT PAINTERS
in BRIDGEPORT, WV
Responsibilities:
As an Aircraft Painter/Exterior finisher, you will be required to:
- Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities.
- Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform surface preparation on the aircraft, repaired component, and new parts/assemblies.
- Apply primer / topcoat / final spray.
- Perform touch ups as needed.
- Polish painted surfaces for finished appearance.
- Install sealant and erosion tape.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year painting experience or equivalent completed vocational training (i.e., aviation, automotive or marine)
- Must have satisfactory results on Pulmonary Function (medical evaluation) in order to obtain respirator certification.
- Aviation / Aircraft experience preferred
- Possess comfort with computers; entry-level skills
- Basic knowledge in researching / pulling information from manuals
- Basic knowledge of paint regulations with transporting hazardous materials preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing and verbally form on paint project's status
- Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings is preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
- Full-time, Contract
- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing. - Work Environment:
Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
