STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for
STRUCTURES TECHNICIANS
in BRIDGEPORT, WV

Responsibilities:
As a Structures Technician, you will be required to:

• Remove / install aircraft components as required.
• Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
• Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
• Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures and aircraft component repair.
• Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.
• Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations as required.
• Inspect confined areas of airframe and assist in providing time estimates as required.
• Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.

• Minimum of 3 years of structural sheet metal repair / modification experience or substantiated similar experience.
  • Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
  • CRJ airframe experience a plus.
  • MRO experience a plus.
  • Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.
• Completed Sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent Training.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) license is required.
• Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status.
• Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
• Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.

  Schedule:
  
  12-hour shifts | 1st shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm, 2nd shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am; 3 days on with 4 days off | 4 days on with 3 days off. (weekends included). Must be willing to work either shift.
• Overtime is available.
• Travel Pay $150 (if applicable)
• Hotel Lodging:
  The customer is offering a maximum of 30 nights in a nearby hotel. Room and tax only will be paid. The technician is responsible for all other charges.

• Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
• Must be computer proficient.
• Physical Demands:
  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
• Work Environment:
  Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
