Assistant Project Manager - Broadband and Utility

Overview

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and tracking broadband and utility construction activities.
• Maintain project documents including plans, permits, redlines, and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits and support field crews with daily project needs.
• Provide status updates, production tracking, and schedule reports for leadership and clients.
• Support budgeting tasks, purchase orders, invoices, and material coordination.
• Communicate with permitting agencies, utilities, municipalities, and subcontractors.

Required:

• Experience in broadband, telecom, utilities, or construction coordination.
• Basic understanding of fiber, utility systems, or linear infrastructure work.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn project/GIS tools.

Preferred:

• 1–3 years in broadband or utility construction support.
• Familiarity with construction plans, fiber routes, utility prints, and permitting.
• Knowledge of aerial/underground construction or splicing processes.
• Safety certifications (OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR).
