Holt CAT in Bridgeport Texas is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician who can work on heavy construction equipment and smaller equipment. This position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of heavy construction equipment and or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Candidate must be able to follow safety protocol when performing duties. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm.

Qualifications
  • Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulic, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues and repairs.
  • At least3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
  • Should be able to determine failure analysis
  • Must be able to write up service report
  • Must have steady employment.
  • Must have a valid drivers' license
  • Must have the ability to obtain a forklift license.
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50# approximately5 times a day.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Must be able to navigate electronic troubleshooting systems software to properly troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failure.
Education
  • Diesel technical schooling preferred
License and Certification
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • HVAC Certifications preferred
  • Hydraulic systems certifications preferred
  • Tier 4 Systems certifications preferred
  • Welding experience - but not required
