Seeking a Mechanic with 5 years of diesel truck maintenance experience to perform repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. This position offers stability, training, and a clear path for advancement within a growing organization.
Essential Functions- Perform vehicle and equipment repairs to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, safety checks, and annual inspections per company protocol.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems efficiently and accurately.
- Complete work orders properly, including accurate documentation of hours and parts used.
- Evaluate completed work and consult with supervisor to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- DOT medical card eligibility required.
- Minimum 5 years diesel truck maintenance experience required.
- Trade school and/or automotive training preferred.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
Fast-paced outdoor and shop-based environment servicing heavy trucks, fleet vehicles, and pavement marking equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions, especially during seasonal peaks.
