Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner APRN RoleThe Hartford Health Care Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner APRN to join the busy and growing Department of Cardiac Surgery.
RoleOpen to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners.
LocationSVMC 2800 Main Street Bridgeport CT 06606.
SettingInpatient, cardiac surgical services.
Schedule13h shifts 3x/week Full-time salaried, rotating includes day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday coverage. If desired, it is the possibility to do permanent night shifts as well.

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner APRN Master’s program
- Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner APRN in the state of Connecticut
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner APRN.
- 1+ years’ experience in cardiovascular surgery preferred and/or 2+ years’ experience as a PA/APRN in critical care setting
- First assistant experience, including endoscopic vein harvesting skills preferred
