O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, seeks dependable and mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as an Asphalt Plant Operator. This position will be based primarily in Fairfield County, with the ability to commute to other asphalt plant locations in the Western CT as needed. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

This position is subject to union membership requirements; however, applicants are not required to be union members at the time of application.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong troubleshooting ability, and takes pride in keeping equipment running safe and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

* Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment to meet production goals and quality standards

* Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment

* Assist with welding work as needed

* Monitor plant controls and maintain accurate production and maintenance documentation

* Communicate with supervisors, truck drivers, and customers to support daily operations

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment

* Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency repairs during peak production

* Travel between plant locations as required

Qualifications:

* Mechanical experience preferred

* Asphalt plant experience is a plus, but not required

* Basic computer skills

* Welding experience strongly preferred

* Ability to work varying shifts and hours, including nights and weekends, based on operational needs

* Willing to travel between plant locations and support field operations as needed

* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
