Job Summary

The Litigation Associate will join a civil litigation and insurance defense practice handling sophisticated matters from inception through resolution. This role is well-suited for an attorney with 1 to 5 years of experience who is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to deepen trial and advocacy skills. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and exposure to complex litigation in a supportive, team-driven environment.

• Manage a civil litigation caseload from initial pleadings through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses in compliance with deadlines
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda to support case strategy
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Assist with and participate in dispositive motion practice
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing written status reports and case updates
• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, experts, and support staff on litigation strategy

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or a related practice area
• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar or eligibility through an adequate UBE score
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions and managing discovery
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
