Crisis Prevention Instructor

The Crisis Prevention Instructor delivers high quality crisis prevention, de-escalation, and workplace violence prevention training to security staff. This role supports the implementation and ongoing of CPI – certified curriculum and plays a critical role in promoting staff safety, patient dignity and compliance with state workplace violence prevention requirements. The instructor serves as a collaborative partner to security teams, ensuring training is consistent, policy-aligned, and responsive to the needs of a dynamic healthcare setting.

This position requires on-site delivery of training within the client’s healthcare environment and does not offer remote or hybrid work options.

• Facilitate CPI-certified crisis prevention and workplace violence prevention training sessions on a regular basis for security staff.
• Deliver training in accordance with CPI curriculum standards, ensuring consistent, professional, and high-quality instruction.
• Maintain active CPI Instructor certification and participate in required renewal and continuing education.
• Coordinate with Prosegur Management regarding training schedules, class preparation, materials, and logistics.
• Maintain accountability for all training materials and equipment, including proper tracking and return.
• Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for participants.
• Accurately log, document, and report all training sessions in accordance with Prosegur and CPI requirements.
• Ensure training content aligns with employee safety standards, and state workplace violence prevention regulations.
• Track training completion, attendance, and competency validation.
• Partner with Prosegur Management, and Security teams to support an integrated approach to crisis prevention.
• Support non-investigative post-incident debriefs as appropriate.
• Identify trends and recommend training enhancements based on incident data and participant feedback.
• Assist with annual program reviews and delivery of refresher training.

• Active CPI Instructor certification for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to pass a background check prior to certification and instructional responsibilities.
• Experience facilitating adult learning or professional training, preferably in a healthcare or high-risk environment.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress or sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with workplace violence prevention, de-escalation principles, and trauma-informed approaches preferred.
