Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing specific duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect activities essential to a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that provide comprehensive care to patients in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. The role also contributes to a positive patient experience.

Work in a high‑activity environment with multiple priorities and requires schedule flexibility. Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder based on experience, skill sets, and certifications.

• No experience required—training is provided on‑site.
• Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed by the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred.
• Current BLS Provider credential preferred.
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA preferred for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
