Patient Care Tech (Per Diem) - Cardiovascular

Location Detail: St Vincents Medical Center (10427)

Shift Detail: 16 hours per month per HHC requirements

Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect activities essential to a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to comprehensive care, and works with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience in a high‑activity work environment.

• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities essential for a safe and efficient care environment.
• Support the care team to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Complete specific duties that support patient care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
• Adjust to a flexible schedule as required by the high‑activity environment.
• Eligible for career advancement through a clinical ladder based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.

• No experience required; training provided on‑site.
• Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 60 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred.
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA preferred to advance in the PCT clinical ladder.
