Extended School Year (ESY) Program
Pay Rate: $42/per hour per BEA contract
The 2026 Bridgeport Public Schools’ Extended School Year (ESY) program supports special education students in a summer program.
- ESY Teacher Priority given to teachers with experience with Specific Autism spectrum training and Autism spectrum teaching, psychiatrically involved, low incidence students, early childhood, low incidence students, providing services to students with hearing impairments, and providing general specialized instruction.
- Speech/Language Clinician Priority given to staff with appropriate certification and specific experience in providing services to students with low incidence (i.e., Autism, Multiple Disability, etc.) special needs.
- School Psychologists Priority given to staff with appropriate certification and specific experience in providing services to students with low incidence (i.e., Autism, Multiple Disability, etc.) special needs.
- OT/COTA Priority given to staff with appropriate state license and specific experience in providing OT services to students with special needs. School Psychologists are asked not to apply to this position.
Locations: Barnum, Johnson, Skane (see work hours below), Tisdale
Work Hours: 8:00 AM
-1:00 PM (Barnum, Johnson, Tisdale)
8:00 AM – 11:30 AM (Skane ONLY)
Training Date: TBD (Prior to end of school year.)
Summer School Dates: Monday-Thursday July 6-9, 2026
Monday-Thursday July 13-16, 2026
Monday-Thursday July 20-23, 2026
Monday-Thursday July 27-30, 2026
