This vacancy is for the remainder of the school year 2025‑2026.
Jumoke Academy seeks a dynamic, courageous, and innovative ART teacher serving grades Pre‑K‑8, who is committed to excellence for every child and will accept nothing less. This individual must be highly motivated and mission‑driven; a teacher who sweats the small stuff without losing sight of the big picture.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of:
- Driving for results
- Using data to drive and inform instruction
- Inspiring, engaging, and empowering students and families through art
- Establishing and maintaining a culture of high expectations
- Building effective relationships with students, families, and peers
- Ensuring fidelity to curriculum, instructional excellence, and best‑practices in assessment
Certification/License:
Appropriate CT State Certification
Education:
An accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree
Experience:
Preferably at least one year of teaching experience at the intermediate elementary and middle school level. Fresh graduates with a degree in art are welcome to apply.
Immediate Supervisor:
School Principal
Ten‑month work year. Standard teacher work schedule, including attendance at professional development, open houses, parent conferences, and staff meetings as needed.
