Position Description Summary / PurposeReporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletics Communications, the Assistant for Athletics Communications and Digital Media will assist the Athletic Communications office in all facets of the athletic communications operation. This person will primarily oversee all aspects of the department’s graphic design, social media, and video content.
Essential Job Functions / Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the development of all Bridgeport Athletics graphic design needs for social media, publications, banners, video board displays, and others as assigned.
- Coordinate all of the athletic department's video content and production, including overseeing live game production and video content creation.
- Coordinate and schedule all live video and audio productions in conjunction with the CACC network.
- Coordinate and develop all of the athletic department's social media strategies.
- Assist in the design and upkeep of the Athletics website,
- Create all graphic and video content for
- Oversee all social media and video content for all sports.
- Assist in the creation of other content to be used on and various social media channels.
- Assist with writing and editing press releases and game notes in primary sports.
- Assist in the planning and design of virtual guides and record books.
- Assist with in-game statistics and gameday communication tasks as needed.
- Assist in updating records and statistics for all sports.
- Support the athletics department at special events.
- Assist with various assignments from the UB Athletics Department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering best practices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and build an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.
- Knowledge and/or willingness to learn statistical software.
- Highly skilled in operating the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Photography/Videography knowledge a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑faceted work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- Strong graphic design experience.
- Two years of experience in athletic media relations.
- Experience using stats software including NLS Live Stats and Presto Stats.
- Ability to travel, work evenings, and weekends as needed.
