Ferroglobe is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Bridgeport, Alabama
. We are open to candidates with a background as an Electrical Project Engineer or an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
. This role is a replacement position and requires a motivated individual to drive key site projects.

The Project Engineer will be instrumental in supporting plant operations and executing capital projects. While this role is a leader
, it is not a management position with direct reports.

• Perform tasks such as searching for parts and part numbers.
• Work with procurement on activities like getting quotes and working with vendors for ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with other engineers within the company to obtain necessary information.
• Lead and contribute to significant business initiatives and projects such as:
  • Baghouse and Dust mitigation maintenance and projects
  • Crushers & Sizing maintenance and projects
  • Automation projects and MCC replacements

• CAD experience
• Proven Project Management abilities
• Strong Electrical Knowledge, specifically in Motor Controls and PLC
• Solid Mechanical Knowledge, including experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulics

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required; however, candidates with strong, relevant experience would be acceptable.

  The successful candidate will be a leader within the role.
• Training:
  Training will primarily be provided by Cody (Hiring Manager) and Russ Lang for specific needs.
• Interview Focus:
  Candidates should be prepared to discuss their project experience, including:
  • The size of projects managed and their specific involvement.
  • Examples of how they managed tight timelines.
  • Their proficiency in problem-solving/troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical issues.
