Overview
28 hours per week. Fixed Term up to 31 March 2026. Term Time. We are seeking a qualified counsellor to work with children and young people within Bridgend County Borough community and school venues. The counsellor will require an in‑depth knowledge of evidenced based approaches to improving emotional wellbeing of children and young people in Bridgend. The successful candidate will possess the drive to improve sustainable outcomes for children and young people facing multiple and complex difficulties.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. A valid driving licence is requirement for this post. The council's Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
