This is a full‑time, on‑site position for an HGV Trailer Fitter based in Bridgend. The role involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of HGV trailers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting faults, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining detailed service records. Collaboration with team members and liaising with other departments to ensure operational efficiency are also key aspects of the role.

42 hours per week + overtime and in call rota

Shifts 6am‑3pm 8am‑5pm

£15 p/h plus overtime @ 1.5 negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience

• Maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of HGV trailers
• Experience in performing standard inspections and compliance with safety regulations
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to efficiently troubleshoot mechanical faults
• Effective communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in vehicle maintenance or HGV repair
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices in the haulage and transport industry
• Ability to work in hands‑on mechanical environment
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
