An opportunity has arisen within the acute Paediatric Wards/Children's Outpatient Department at the Princess of Wales Hospital.
We are looking for Registered Children’s Nurses who are well‑motivated, possess good communication skills, and are committed to putting the ongoing care of children and their families first.
We are seeking a passionate, flexible team player to work in our friendly, professional acute Paediatric Ward and Children’s Outpatient Department, a person who is interested in expanding their knowledge base.
You would be joining a team of dedicated children nurses who will provide you with all the support you will need.

Job responsibilitiesThis post is currently operating a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5‑hour shift, inclusive of either one 30‑minute or two 30‑minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements.
Person Specification Qualifications and/or Knowledge- Registered nurse child branch with current NMC registration
- EPLS/PILS and IV trained
- Clinical experience of working within acute setting.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Undertaken audits, PADR’s and quality improvements within previous roles.
- Flexible approach to work
- Shows skills working within a team but also ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive approach to working and problems.
- Welsh Language Skills (Level 3 and above/B2) are Desirable for this Role.
