Machinist

RSW are recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy industrial company in the Bridgend area for an experienced
Machinist
. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC Mills, Elga Mills, and various Lathes, and will be capable of producing high-quality work to drawing specifications in a busy workshop environment.

• Operate CNC Mills, Elga Mills, and a range of Lathes to meet drawing specifications.
• Achieve goals and deadlines in line with company objectives and standards.
• Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop floor.
• Ensure all work tools are secure and properly maintained.
• Follow all health and safety regulations — including keeping walkways and fire exits clear.
• Assist with maintaining shared areas such as the canteen.
• Support colleagues and assist in general workshop duties as needed.
• Produce consistent, high-quality workmanship.
• Take responsibility for using and maintaining all workshop tools and machines.
• Commit to continuous self-development and skill improvement.

• Proven experience as a machinist in a heavy industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Good understanding of workshop safety and maintenance.
• Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player.
