About the role

We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Podiatrist to join our friendly and supportive team working in the Bridgend area. The role will offer the opportunity to use and develop your leadership and management skills, along with your professional clinical skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team of Podiatrists within the Bridgend area, working with the Assistant Head/Clinical Lead to support the safe and effective provision of care.
  • Plan and undertake service delivery, risk management, clinical governance, team learning and personal development reviews.
  • Provide clinical sessions that include assessing and treating a range of podiatric pathologies, wound management, referrals for nail surgery and other onward referrals, while supporting patient self‑management.
  • Fulfil the role of Team Leader within the Podiatry Department.
  • Lead clinical governance activities, promote clinical audits and drive the quality improvement agenda.
  • Participate in the overall management of Podiatry services and contribute to decision making to influence the development of the Service Strategy.
  • Ensure competent delivery of podiatric treatment by team members, including planning and overseeing day‑to‑day service activity in line with departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Engage with the Research and Development Programme and facilitate team members to participate in R&D and professional development, including academic learning.
