The post holder will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken within the University Health Board safeguards the well being of the research participants, including patients, staff and control subjects. This will involve supporting participants through the research pathway in accordance with the research protocol and relevant legislation. The postholder will support the Assistant Director for R&D and the R&D Manager in meeting the Research and Development Division, Welsh Government Key Performance Indicators and Metrics.
Fixed Term/Secondment for 36 months due to funding. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Welsh Skills DesirableThis post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates. It is not fluency – just speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above.

Qualifications- Registered Nurse
- Understanding of the job role responsibilities of a Research Nurse
- Certificate in ICH Good Clinical Practice
- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate documentation and record keeping; excellent attention to detail
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Welsh Language Skills (Level 3 and above/B2) are desirable for this role.
- Experience of working at a Band 5 (or equivalent level) in a health research setting with service user/carer contact
- Experience of supporting research projects
- Experience of clinical interviewing; evidence of previous patient/client and Multi Disciplinary Team contact within work environment
