An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Green Spaces and Bereavement Service area of Bridgend County Borough Council who are looking to employ a Green Spaces and Bereavement Services Manager.

This challenging and varied role leading teams will provide an opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience of many aspects of Rural and Urban grass cutting, green spaces including sports playing fields, children's play areas and procurement of services through consultants and contractors, Management of Bereavement services including churchyard, crematoria and cemeteries.

We are looking for individuals who have a wide understanding and knowledge of aspects relating to Green Spaces management and Bereavement Service delivery and management as the successful candidate would de responsible for related strategy and policy development, delivery and evaluation as well as delivery of the councils ongoing community assets transfer.

The applicant must have experience in undertaking the specific duties identified in this pack. Must be able to lead teams and communicate effectively with colleagues, local members, external companies and members of the public.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.

The council s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.

A Health Surveillance assessment through our Occupational Health Service is a requirement for this post.
