The Opportunity
An opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to join a delivery-focused infrastructure environment, working on technically challenging civil engineering projects across East and South Wales and further afield.
This role is suited to a site-based engineer with setting-out capability, comfortable working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and project management to deliver works safely, accurately, and to programme.
The Role
* Establishing and maintaining accurate site control, levels and coordinates using total station, GPS and laser equipment
* Interpreting and implementing technical drawings, design information and specifications
* Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality plans, and inspection & test requirements
* Maintaining site diaries, setting-out records, as-built drawings and quality documentation
* Supporting the compilation of Health & Safety File information
* Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams
* Attending and contributing to site progress meetings and reporting
* Assisting with the ordering and coordination of materials, plant and labour
* Preparing, reviewing and implementing RAMS
* Carrying out daily safety inspections and ensuring safe systems of work
* Identifying and resolving on-site engineering issues with practical solutions
* Ensuring daily planned outputs are achieved and accurately reporting progress
Technical Skills & Experience
* Strong civil engineering background (groundworks, drainage, pipelines, infrastructure works)
* Water / utilities experience beneficial but not essential
* Competent in surveying and setting out using total station and GPS
* Working knowledge of CAD
* Strong understanding of quality assurance and site documentation
* Collaborative approach when working with clients and subcontractors
* Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Qualifications & Certifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
* Valid CSCS card
* First Aid
