Job Description OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar photovoltaic systems on various sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing technical expertise in the solar industry. The position involves working on-site with a focus on safety protocols and precise installation procedures.
Responsibilities- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops, ground mounts, or other designated locations according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble mounting systems, electrical components, and wiring connections
- Conduct mechanical tasks securing structural components for system stability
- Perform electrical connections following industry standards and safety regulations
- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with technical standards and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely within designated time frames
- Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly is highly desirable
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to solar installations or general electrical experience is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to structural assembly and system integration is beneficial
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction and electrical work
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail during installation processes
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment when necessary
- Ability to occasionally work on projects further afield throughout England and Wales
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred; willingness to travel between sites as required
