About the RoleWe’re excited to offer a secondment opportunity for a highly organised and approachable Administrative Assistant to join our People team on a fixed-term basis for a period of 6-months.
You’ll play a key role in supporting recruitment activity, responding to colleague queries, and coordinating our work experience programme, giving you valuable insight into how we attract, support and develop our people.
As a central member of the team, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activity while delivering a professional, responsive and welcoming service to colleagues and external contacts. This role offers excellent exposure across the organisation and is ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience within a supportive team environment.
This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day, and will be based on-site from the Estate Office, Edensor.
We’re ideally looking for someone to join us in the first week of May, making this a great opportunity for someone ready to step into a new challenge this spring.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to first-line colleague queries and elevate more complex issues when needed
- Managing the HR inbox and responding or escalating queries as required
- Coordinating and administering the organisation’s work experience programme, including processing applications, liaising with departments, and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with recruitment administration, including arranging interviews and candidate correspondence
- Help apply best practice across the People Team, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
- Support people-related projects to improve processes, systems and colleague experience
- Provide support for learning and development initiatives such as training coordination and engagement activities.
- Producing reports, maintaining spreadsheets, and supporting routine data tracking
- General administrative support to the People team
- Great interpersonal skills - telephone and face to face
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A customer-focused approach and attitude
- Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive and confidential information
