Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians in providing high-quality patient care. This role requires a commitment to delivering individualized nursing care based on patients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to each patient's needs.
- Identify patient needs and prioritize care through thorough assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
- Initiate assessments informed by the patient’s issues or needs, physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions to enhance patient recovery and wellbeing.
- Manage care for patients effectively and compassionately.
- Document nursing care in accordance with established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for and implement evidence-based practice care standards, promoting innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
- Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mother-Baby nursing required, including care for newborns.
Education:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
This position is seeking labor and delivery nurses as well as special care nursery nurses. Preferred candidates will have experience caring for well newborns in a special care nursery or NICU environment.
