Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients' needs, identifying priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role involves developing and coordinating individualized care plans for assigned patients through both initial and ongoing assessments.
Responsibilities

• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physicians' diagnoses, and functional health framework.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.

• Document care in accordance with standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support innovations in care delivery.

• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice model.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in a Med/Surg/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting.

• Strong Med/Surg/Tele background required.

• Must be willing to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units as needed.

• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

• BLS certification required.
