In this dynamic role, you ll monitor daily health needs, coordinate essential medical care, oversee medication management, and collaborate with families and healthcare providers to deliver the highest quality support.

Compensation$48.00 – $50.40 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule32 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily health needs of students
- Coordinate appointments for preventive, specialized, and emergency health care
- Coordinate and monitor medication use, including ordering, administration, and documentation per DPH regulations and agency policies
- Monitor medical treatment to ensure follow-through via program staff
- Serve as a liaison to families, referring agencies, and community resources regarding medical needs
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly psychiatric consults/medication reviews in the absence of the Director of Nursing
- Maintain student medical records and prepare required program reports
- Conduct medication distribution training for non-medical staff per DPH guidelines, at least once a year
- Provide in-service training and medical orientation on health education and human sexuality
- Participate in intake and discharge planning
- Maintain an adequate inventory of medical supplies
- Participate in program development, implementation, and evaluation
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Relevant experience in nursing
- Psychiatric or special needs experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- MA Registered Nursing License
