Nurse Assistant

Green Chimneys has a unique, multi-faceted therapeutic program for children requiring residential treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns. The on-campus Health & Wellness Center provides 24-hour nursing services and comprehensive care management, including pediatric care, psychiatric services, routine medical and dental treatment, and nutritional counseling.

As a Nurse Assistant, you will perform a variety of resident care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of residents. The incumbent will be responsible for transporting residents and staff to off-campus medical appointments.

• Assist residents with personal hygiene
• Administer and record oral medication as approved
• Clean and apply antiseptic to minor abrasions
• Observe and properly record residents' symptoms
• Maintain cleanliness of the Health Center

This position is 32 hours a week, can provide tuition reimbursement and benefit eligible. Overtime hours are available. Hours are 2pm-10pm five days per week at our Brewster location.

• Must have HS Diploma
• No related experience necessary as in-house training will be provided
• Valid driver's license required, and clean driving record required

The hourly rate for this role is between $16.00 and $16.35 DOE. This is a 32 hour per week role and is benefit eligible.
