Cape Cod National Golf Club is seeking a Communications Intern to support the Club’s communications and document the life of one of the Northeast’s premier private golf clubs during the summer season.
This is a selective, hands‑on role working directly with senior leadership. The intern will contribute to how the Club communicates with its members and captures its traditions through thoughtful writing, photography, and refined digital storytelling. The work produced in this role is visible, meaningful, and portfolio-worthy.
This position is best suited for a strong college student pursuing Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or a related field who is capable of producing polished written and visual work in a professional environment.
The RoleThe Communications Intern will assist in shaping the Club’s voice and visual storytelling throughout the summer. Responsibilities include member communications, photography, short‑form video production, event coverage, and support of internal communications.
This is an on‑site role at Cape Cod National Golf Club in Brewster, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities Member Communications- Draft and edit clear, polished member emails and announcements
- Support weekly communications and event messaging
- Assist with maintaining consistency, tone, and presentation
- Capture the life of the Club through writing, photography, and video
- Produce high‑quality short‑form video content (events, seasonal moments, behind‑the‑scenes, club announcements)
- Edit video and visual content with attention to tone and presentation
- Contribute to storytelling that reflects the standards of a premier private club
- Attend and document Club events, tournaments, and traditions
- Produce written recaps, short features, and visual content
- Capture photography and video for communications and archival use
- Assist with internal staff messaging and notices
- Support organizational communications and materials
- Light office clerical work during down time
- Providing customer service and support to members as needed
- College student (Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or related field preferred)
- Strong writing and editing ability
- Ability to produce thoughtful, well‑composed photography
- Capability in shooting and editing short‑form video content
- Organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented
- Comfortable working in a professional, in‑person environment
- Interest in storytelling, communications, and high‑end hospitality
- Golf knowledge helpful but not required
- Portfolio‑level writing, photography, and video work
- Real responsibility and visible impact
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and Club operations
- Experience with in a premier private club environment
- Event storytelling and communications experience
- Location: Cape Cod National Golf Club, Brewster, MA (On‑Site)
- Dates: Late May – Late August (slightly flexible)
- Schedule: Approximately 40 hours/week (varying schedule by week)
- Compensation: $20/hour
