As a Job Coach, youâll play a hands-on role in supporting individuals with disabilities as they explore career opportunities, learn new skills, and thrive in the workplace. Youâll also partner with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities that bring out the best in both employees and businesses.
What Youâll Be Doing- đŻ Cheerleader & Coach â Guide individuals through job applications, interviews, and workplace success.
- đ§Š Matchmaker â Connect participantsâ talents and goals with the perfect employer and work environment.
- đĄ Skill Builder â Teach job skills, workplace etiquette, and social know-how in ways that empower independence.
- đ Community Connector â Build great relationships with local businesses and show them the value of inclusive workplaces.
- đ Problem Solver â Jump in when job duties change or challenges pop up, helping participants adapt and succeed.
- đ Storyteller â Keep track of progress with documentation that captures the impact of your work.
- A positive, can-do attitude (you believe every challenge is an opportunity).

- Physical ability to be active on the job (think bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, working in different environments, and helping participants at job sites).

QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelorâs Degree in a human services field, special education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Have time management and organization skills with the demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule according to participantsâ training needs and work schedule, which can include some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess basic computer proficiency.
- Have a reliable vehicle and a valid driverâs license with an acceptable driving record.
- Acceptable background and sex offender registry check, negative drug test, and no substantial findings on the NC Health Care Registry.
